How do i?

Posted June 30th, 2009 in Love creations by Sam

How do I tell her I love her
without saying the words
or writing them down

How do I stop from crying
without wiping the tears away
or letting her do it

How do I show her I care
without holding her close
or even crying when she’s mad

How do I keep a fake smile going
without thinking about her
or what we used to be

How do I pretend everything’s alright
when she left and didn’t look at me
or even tell me why

How do I breathe
without her body to keep me warm
or her arms to make me feel safe

How do I live
when her love is no longer mine
or she just doesn’t care anymore
How do I show her I still want her back and always will?

I can’t.

Potraits of 100 Iconic people of the world

Posted June 23rd, 2009 in Galleries by Sam

This collection is arranged in alphabetical order and is by no means complete. We encourage you to post comments as to which portraits we’ve missed, that you feel should be part of this collection.

We hope that this collection inspires you, makes you gasp and even smile. We want you to come away with a sense of what made each portrait unique and memorable, and incorporate these concepts into your own portraits.

Afghan Girl

This photo was taken as part of the National Geographic “Green Eyes” project, tracking the genetic trait of green eyes passed down through the Mongols of Genghis Khan’s time. The subject was Sharbat Gula and a retrospective on her life done by National Geographic can be found here. Date: 1985. Photographer: Steve McCurry, National Geographic.

Ways to please your visitor

Posted June 18th, 2009 in Web Design, Web Standards, Webmaster tutorials by Sam

1: Browser/platform compatibility

Your visitor expects your site to work in their browser/platform at all times.

Solution – provide a site that works in all modern browsers and platforms.

Benefits – He or she can now wait for your site to load knowing that – at the least, they can access it. (First base is a major step!)

2: Load time

Your visitor is very very impatient and has the attention span of a 15 year old grey haired dog with arthritis in it’s knees and a bowl with no dog food in it.

Solution – provide him/her with a super quick loading web site.

Benefits – He or she will be so pleased they may just look further into your web site and see if it holds them to interest.

3: Design

Your visitor is very critical and expects a professional design at least for their time.

Solution – provide him or her with a very nice, clean and professional layout.

Benefits – He or she will be impressed and may decide to venture even further.

4: Navigation

Your visitor is on the prowl and wants to find what they are looking for yesterday.

Solution – provide him or her with a navigation system that enables a quick and an effective route to what they are looking for.

Benefits – He or she will be very pleased they may spend some time on your site discovering if what they found is of value to them.

5: Content

Your visitor demands the very best – best being 22 carrot gold not that awful gold plated rubbish.

Solution -provide him or her with up to the date content that is easy to understand, writing and produced well and to the point.

Benefits – He or she will be very pleased they may even bookmark your site for future reference.

Access + quick loading + professional design + excellent navigation + great content = a very competent web site that should serve the purpose of both yourself and more importantly your visitors.

In these days and age people are demanding more from a web site and so they should. There is no excuses any more. We have all the tools available to build competent web sites to a professional standard. We don’t have to be a pro we just need tounderstand the visitor more – and boy are they/we demanding.

Title se yaad aaya…

Posted June 12th, 2009 in Funny stuff by Sam

I have nothing to write.
Have no inspiration lately.

I am an open blogger wanting to write something and end up staring at the blank screen for hours like a loser

koklata-knight-riders

Loser se yaad aaya, what has gotten into Kolkatta Knight Riders? Suddenly, I have new found respect for Ricky Ponting. How did he manage to win all those matches with an ass for a coach(John Buchanan).

Ass se yaad aaya, what is wrong with Imran Hashmi.. aaj-kal koi movie nahi aa rahi bande ki.. He has done more movies in the last 5 years than what Aamir Khan has done in his two decade old career.

Imran Hashmi

Note that, it was Aamir Khan who held the record for maximum kisses (on screen of course) and he was conviniently replaced by Imran in his debut year.

Debut se yaad aaya, Varun Gandhi made quite a debut in Politics in and as “Pilibhit ka goonda”. He went overboard with his anctics, gave communal speeches which made LK Advani and Narendra Modi sound secular. Its almost certain that Pilibhit is voting for Varun this Loksabha elections. Next LS elections we can wait for his next movie – “The return of the goonda“. Continue Reading »

Yesterday

Posted June 10th, 2009 in Inspirational by Sam

Yesterday, Sometimes it seems so far away,
The wind slammed the door,
The night covered my eyes,
I can’t recall the dream I had this morning,
The memories are colliding with new born moments of time,
They fall like a glittering dust,
Through the crevices of time,
I wish to hold onto those moment forever,
Turn back the hands of time,
To the day I walked away,
I long to understand, what it all means,
To remember the dreams of yesterday,
But The wind slammed the door,
The night covered my eyes with tears,
Now I am filled with uncertainty, Time takes me away,
Through a door that is unknown, And I sense the answer to this enigma,
Will be lost Forever, Behind the doors of time,
