Love means more when life is hard
And choices lead to sacrifice,
And every passion has its price
In duties paid and windows barred.
Though I have loved for many years,
Love is still for me a spring
That will from stone sweet fragrance bring,
And make a garden of our tears.
The love of children, children’s children,
Flowing to the distant verge,
Flowing from the ancient urge
To make a home of wilderness,
Has been my joy, my inner dance
Of ecstasy, as day by day
I move the mountains in my way
And claim through love the gifts of chance

THE PRESENCE OF A WOMAN AROUND ,
IS WHAT MANY PEOPLE CALL “LIFE” .
SOMETIMES IT WORKS LIKE A KITE,
LIFTS YOU UP IN THE SKY,
MAKES YOU FEEL LIGHT,
GIVES YOU THE HIGH.
SOMETIMES IT WORKS LIKE A KNIFE,
CUTS YOU INTO PIECES,
GIVES YOU THE PAIN,
LEAVES YOU ROUGH & DRY.
BUT, THE WOMAN IN MY LIFE,
IS LIKE WATER,
QUENCHES MY THIRST, GIVING ME LIFE,
SHE’S THE STAR OF MY EYES,
THE REASON FOR MY SMILE.
FOR HER I CAN DIE,
OH !!! SHE’S MY SWEETHEART,
SHE IS WHAT I CALL “LIFE”.

I am now alone
It feels as if you’ve left me here to die
So all day i think of you
And begin to cry
All my dreams and all my fears
In you i did confide
And all these things you took with you
My love, my hopes, my pride
We had our times together
Now that world’s a memory
We laughed, talked, and joked, but now
You wont acknowledge me
You were my comfort
A shoulder to lean on over the past few
years
Always there when i needed you
To wipe away my tears
